Meta Introduces WhatsApp Instagram and Facebook Plus Subscription Plans in India
Meta has launched premium Plus subscriptions for WhatsApp Instagram and Facebook in India offering exclusive privacy customization and creator features with separate monthly plans for each application.

Meta Expands Premium Services With Plus Plans in India
Meta has officially rolled out its new Plus subscription plans for WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook in India. The premium memberships are designed to provide users with enhanced privacy options, advanced customization tools and exclusive features that are not available in the free versions of the apps.
To access these subscriptions, users need to update their applications through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. While Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus are available on both Android and iPhone, WhatsApp Plus is currently being introduced to iPhone users first and includes a one month free trial.
Monthly Subscription Prices
Each Meta application has its own separate subscription plan.
WhatsApp Plus is priced at Rs 79 per month and includes a one month free trial for eligible users.
Instagram Plus is available for Rs 99 per month on both Android and iOS devices.
Facebook Plus is also priced at Rs 99 per month and supports Android as well as iPhone users.
Since the subscriptions are independent, users can choose the service they want without purchasing all three.
WhatsApp Plus Brings More Personalization
WhatsApp Plus focuses on improving chat management and personalization while making the messaging experience more flexible.
Subscribers can pin up to 20 chats instead of the standard limit of three. The premium version also introduces 18 new accent color themes and 14 app icon designs, allowing users to customize the appearance of the application.
The service also includes premium animated sticker packs that remain visible even when shared with users who are not subscribed. Individual contacts can have custom notification sounds and ringtones, while users can manage notification settings for multiple chats simultaneously through bulk selection tools.
Instagram Plus Adds New Story and Profile Features
Instagram Plus is aimed at users who regularly create Stories and Reels or want more control over their profiles.
One of its standout features allows users to view other people’s Stories anonymously without appearing in the viewer list. Premium Stories remain visible for 48 hours instead of disappearing after the usual 24 hours.
Subscribers can also see how many times individual viewers have watched their Stories and search for specific names within the viewer list. Another feature called Stealth Posting allows new posts or Reels to appear only on the profile grid instead of automatically showing up in followers’ main feeds.
The subscription also increases the number of pinned posts from three to six, offers additional font styles for profile bios and introduces exclusive Super Heart reactions.
Facebook Plus Targets Creators and Power Users
Facebook Plus includes several Story enhancements similar to Instagram while also introducing tools specifically designed for creators and page administrators.
Premium users receive 48 hour Stories, anonymous Story viewing and detailed Story rewatch statistics. They can further personalize their profiles using custom app icons, new bio fonts and additional profile pinning options.
For creators and businesses, Facebook Plus offers advanced audience insights, improved content monitoring and enhanced moderation features to simplify page management and audience engagement.
Premium Experience Across Meta Apps
With the launch of these subscriptions, Meta is expanding beyond its traditional free services by offering premium experiences tailored to users who want additional functionality. The company is focusing on customization, privacy and creator tools while giving subscribers greater flexibility in how they use its platforms.
As Meta continues to introduce new paid features, the Plus subscriptions are expected to appeal to content creators, professionals and users looking for more control over their messaging and social media experience.
