LG Unveils World First Dual Steam Robot Vacuum With Self Cleaning Technology
LG has introduced an advanced robot vacuum featuring dual steam cleaning intelligent AI navigation automatic mop washing and powerful suction to deliver a smarter and more hygienic home cleaning experience.

LG has expanded its smart home lineup with the launch of the HomeBot AI Objet Collection RONi robot vacuum in South Korea. The latest model introduces several advanced cleaning technologies, including what the company describes as the world’s first Dual Steam system that can clean both the robot and its docking station automatically.
The standout feature is its 100 degree Celsius steam cleaning technology. During mopping, the steam helps loosen stubborn stains from floors for more effective cleaning. Once the cleaning session is complete, the docking station automatically washes the mop using hot water and high temperature steam before drying it with warm air. According to LG, this process can eliminate up to 99.99 percent of four common harmful bacteria, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
LG has launched the robot vacuum in two versions named Hidden Station and Objet Station. Both models are priced at 2.19 million Korean won, which is approximately Rs 1.34 lakh. Sales are scheduled to begin on July 2 through LG Best Shop stores, the company’s official online platform, and Coupang in South Korea. The company has not yet confirmed availability in international markets.
Cleaning performance is supported by 30W suction power along with mop pads that rotate at 180 revolutions per minute. LG says the robot includes an extendable side brush that reaches difficult corners, while its dual brush system minimizes hair tangles, making it more efficient for homes with pets or long hair.
Navigation is powered by artificial intelligence and an advanced object recognition system. Using eight onboard sensors, the robot can identify more than 120 different objects, including charging cables, flower pots, and even pet waste. Through the LG ThinQ app, users receive notifications about obstacles. Once an obstruction is removed, the robot automatically returns to clean the missed area without requiring manual intervention.
Privacy has also received special attention. The robot is equipped with the LG Shield security system, which encrypts user data for better protection. In addition, the onboard camera remains hidden behind a closed door inside the docking station after the cleaning cycle ends, helping safeguard user privacy inside the home.
The two docking station designs offer flexibility for different living spaces. The Hidden Station model is designed to fit neatly beneath a kitchen sink, keeping it out of sight. Meanwhile, the Objet Station version is built with a furniture inspired design that allows it to blend into living rooms or other areas while also functioning as a stylish side table.
With automatic self cleaning, intelligent navigation, advanced steam sanitation, and premium smart home integration, the HomeBot AI Objet Collection RONi represents LG’s latest effort to make household cleaning more convenient, hygienic, and largely hands free.
