Hisense A10 Smartphone Launched With Detachable Display Technology And E Ink Screen

Hisense has introduced a new smartphone that brings a completely different approach to mobile displays. The newly launched Hisense A10 comes with a detachable display system, allowing users to separate one of the screens from the phone whenever required. This is a rare concept in the smartphone industry and marks one of the first attempts to bring such technology to a regular smartphone.

The company has launched the device in the Chinese market, while the official price details are yet to be announced. However, reports suggest that the Hisense A10 could be priced around 3,999 yuan, which is approximately Rs 56,500. The company is expected to reveal the final pricing information soon.

The biggest attraction of the Hisense A10 is its dual display setup. The front side of the smartphone features a 6.13 inch E Ink display, which offers a paper like viewing experience. This type of display is especially useful for reading e books, creating notes, and studying because it puts less strain on the eyes compared to traditional screens.

The phone also comes with a detachable colour display placed on the rear side. This screen connects to the smartphone using magnets and can be removed whenever the user wants. The removable colour LCD panel gives users the flexibility to view content separately while keeping the benefits of the E Ink display available on the main device.

Hisense has designed the A10 to offer different usage options through its two display technologies. The E Ink screen focuses on comfortable reading and low power consumption, while the detachable colour display provides a more traditional smartphone viewing experience. This allows users to choose the type of display based on their needs.

Under the hood, the Hisense A10 is powered by an octa core chipset built on a 4nm process. The smartphone runs on Android 16 and supports 5G connectivity. It also includes Wi Fi 6 support, offering faster and more reliable wireless connections.

The launch of Hisense A10 follows the company’s previous E Ink focused smartphone, Hisense A9, which was introduced in 2022. The Hisense A9 featured a 6.1 inch E Ink display with 300 PPI pixel density and was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor. It was launched in China at a price of around 1,799 yuan, approximately Rs 25,000.

With the new A10, Hisense is attempting to create a new category of smartphones by combining the advantages of E Ink technology and a colour display in a single device. The unique detachable screen concept could attract users who want a smartphone that offers both productivity features and a more comfortable reading experience.
