DSP Assets Case: ACB officials arrested a Telangana CID DSP after raids reportedly uncovered assets worth over Rs 200 crore, including gold, cash, land, and properties linked to suspected benamis.

DSP Assets Case: A major corruption investigation in Telangana has revealed alleged disproportionate assets worth more than Rs 200 crore belonging to a CID Deputy Superintendent of Police. The Anti Corruption Bureau conducted extensive searches at multiple locations before arresting the officer as part of the ongoing probe.

During the raids, officials reportedly identified properties spread across 16 locations and seized around two kilograms of gold, 20 kilograms of silver, cash, and several documents related to land, apartments, houses, agricultural properties, and bank accounts. Authorities also recovered approximately Rs 40 lakh from the residences of the officer’s relatives.

Investigators said searches were carried out at nearly 20 locations, including Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Shamshabad, Gachibowli, Zaheerabad, Vikarabad, and Mominpet. Preliminary findings suggest that several assets were allegedly registered in the names of relatives and other suspected benamis. Officials also traced a farmhouse, residential apartments, and land parcels in different locations, including Bengaluru.

According to the ACB, a diary recovered during the searches reportedly contains the names of 15 suspected benamis. Based on these findings, officials plan to continue searches at the residences of relatives and close associates over the next two days as part of the investigation.

The officer, identified as DSP Bheem Reddy, joined the police department as a Sub Inspector in 1995 and later served in several police stations before being promoted as DSP. Authorities suspect that the assets were accumulated over several years while serving in different positions. The investigation is continuing to determine the full extent of the alleged illegal wealth.
