BRS Convoy Crash: A BRS convoy accident during a visit to the Kannepalli Pump House left MLC Shambhipur Raju injured, while political tensions escalated after police stopped the convoy in Jangaon.

BRS Convoy Crash: A road accident involving the BRS leadership convoy took place on Sunday while party leaders were travelling to inspect the Kannepalli Pump House under the Kaleshwaram Project. The incident left BRS MLC and Medchal district president Shambhipur Raju with injuries, prompting his immediate transfer to KIMS Hospital in Kompally for treatment.
The accident occurred near Veera Hotel in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district when two vehicles in the convoy collided. Shambhipur Raju reportedly suffered injuries after being struck during the impact. Doctors said he sustained chest injuries along with minor wounds on other parts of his body.
Hospital officials confirmed that the MLC’s condition is stable. He underwent medical examinations in the emergency department and remains under observation as doctors continue treatment and monitor his recovery.
The convoy, led by BRS Working President K T Rama Rao, was heading to the Kannepalli Lakshmi Pump House in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district to inspect the project and interact with party leaders.
Meanwhile, political tensions rose in Jangaon district after police stopped the BRS convoy near Pembarthi on the national highway. The action led to a heated exchange between BRS leaders and police personnel.
Party leaders said they were visiting the project site to present their views on the Kaleshwaram Project before the public. Police, however, maintained that movement restrictions had been imposed as a precaution to maintain law and order.
