KBR Park One Way: KBR Park One Way Traffic Begins in Hyderabad
Traffic police have introduced a one way system around KBR Park from today, with new exit points, cameras, lane changes and pedestrian facilities planned to ease congestion.

KBR Park One Way: Traffic movement around KBR Park in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills is changing from today. Hyderabad traffic police have put the new one way system in place after conducting a trial run and making changes based on the problems noticed during testing.
The main aim is to keep vehicles moving instead of allowing traffic to build up around the busy park roads. Police have already conducted awareness programmes for motorists and explained the new routes, lane changes and exit points.
The roads around the park have been divided into two main lanes. The first lane is meant for vehicles travelling longer distances and those that do not need to stop along the way. The second lane will help motorists heading towards nearby colonies and smaller roads. Ten points have been marked where drivers can change lanes.
There will also be 13 exit points around KBR Park. These are intended to help motorists leave the main route and reach nearby areas without creating unnecessary traffic blocks.
Pedestrian movement has also been taken into account. Citizen pavilions have been arranged at important junctions where people can wait before crossing the road. Zebra crossings, blinkers and reflective signboards have also been installed at suitable locations.
Traffic monitoring has been strengthened with 35 additional high resolution CCTV cameras. The new cameras will be connected to the command and control system and will cover important points around the park.
Police personnel have also been divided into four shifts so that the area can be monitored throughout the day. Traffic police and wardens will be stationed at major turns and junctions, while mobile patrol teams will keep moving through the area.
A QR code system has also been introduced for public feedback. People can scan the QR code displayed on boards around KBR Park and share their experience or suggestions about the new traffic arrangement.
Vehicles travelling from the NFCL side towards Jubilee Hills Checkpost through the KBR Park entrance will have to take the route through NTR Bhavan, Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital junction, Agrasen Island, Apollo X Road and Jubilee Hills Road Number 45.
Traffic coming from Yousufguda and Srinagar Colony towards Road Numbers 36 and 45, Jubilee Hills and Madhapur will be diverted through Indira Nagar, Jubilee Hills Road Number 5 and Venkateshwara Nagar. From there, motorists will continue through Diamond House and Road Number 10.
Vehicles heading towards Madhapur can also use the route through All Cazar, Road Number 36 and Nirus.
Direct movement from Jubilee Hills Checkpost towards Journalist Colony and Film Nagar will not be allowed under the new arrangement. Vehicles will have to use the KBR Park junction, Agrasen junction and Film Nagar junction route.
Police have asked motorists to watch the road signs and follow the designated lanes and exits. The first few days are expected to be important as drivers get used to the new system.
