Ramayana Team Targets Global Audience as Trailer Release Gets Postponed
The makers of Ramayana delayed the trailer launch to prepare for a wider international release, while the cast shared their thoughts on bringing the epic to the big screen.

The makers of Ramayana have postponed the scheduled release of the film’s trailer, saying they are preparing for a larger international launch. Producer Namit Malhotra said the promotional strategy has been revised to introduce the film to audiences worldwide with a presentation matching global cinematic standards.
The announcement was made while the team participated in the San Diego Comic Con 2026 event in the United States as part of the film’s international promotional campaign. The makers described Ramayana as an ambitious project aimed at taking one of India’s greatest epics to a worldwide audience.
Speaking at the event, actor Ranbir Kapoor reflected on portraying Lord Rama, saying he initially felt uncertain about accepting such an iconic role. He explained that those doubts gradually turned into gratitude, calling the opportunity a once in a lifetime experience. According to him, the entire team has worked with sincerity and respect to present the story in an authentic manner.
Actor Yash, who plays Ravana, praised Ranbir Kapoor’s dedication and performance. He said portraying characters from the epic requires deep responsibility and expressed confidence that audiences would appreciate the commitment shown by the cast.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Planned as a two part cinematic project, the first installment is expected to arrive in theatres during the Diwali season.
