Jana Nayagan Producer Explains Ambedkar Dialogue Change After Censor Review

The makers of Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay, have explained the reason behind a key dialogue change that was made during the film’s certification process. Producer K Venkata Narayana said the revision was carried out after the censor board recommended modifications to certain portions of the film.

Speaking about the controversy, the producer said the original dialogue was intended to explain the importance of following rules and laws through a simple comparison that audiences could easily understand. However, since the scene was considered politically sensitive, the certification authorities suggested changing the wording.

According to the producer, the filmmakers respected the decision and replaced the dialogue as directed. He added that the production team believes in following the country’s legal and certification procedures and therefore accepted the recommended changes without objection.

The clarification comes after discussions surrounding the replacement of a dialogue referring to Ambedkar with a revised version mentioning TVK. The producer emphasized that the core meaning of the scene remained unchanged despite the alteration.

Apart from the censor related discussion, anticipation for Jana Nayagan continues to grow because it is expected to be Vijay’s final film before he focuses on his political journey. The movie has generated significant interest among fans across India and overseas.

The film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on July 23 and will reportedly be screened on nearly 8000 screens across 30 countries. Advance bookings have already begun in selected regions, with ticket sales receiving a strong response ahead of release.

With the certification process completed and promotional activities underway, the makers are preparing for one of the biggest worldwide releases in Vijay’s career.
