Film Federation Issues Show Cause Notice to Jani Master

The Film Federation has issued a show cause notice to Jani Master after his remarks against the organization, seeking a written explanation and warning of disciplinary action if he fails to respond.

The ongoing dispute involving choreographer Jani Master has taken a fresh turn, with the Film Federation issuing a show cause notice over his recent remarks against the organization. The federation has directed him to submit a written explanation within seven days and warned that disciplinary action could follow if he fails to comply.

The controversy began after differences within the Dancers Association became public. Allegations were raised against Jani Master regarding the hiring of dancers from Mumbai. In response, Dancers Association President Sumalatha defended the association and accused certain dance masters of financial irregularities, claiming they were unfairly targeting the current leadership.

As the issue gained attention, both Jani Master and Sumalatha publicly criticized the Film Federation, alleging that it was attempting to impose rules on the association and was supporting individuals working against its interests. Their comments drew strong reactions from the federation.

The Film Federation had earlier summoned Jani Master to appear for an inquiry, but he did not attend the hearing. Citing his absence and statements against the federation, the organization has now served him with a formal notice seeking clarification.

The federation also expressed displeasure over the conduct of Dancers Association President Sumalatha. It said all office bearers must follow the decisions of the general body and ensure that the livelihoods of dancers are not affected. The federation further stated that cooperation would remain suspended until further decisions are taken and reiterated that a public apology may be required before the matter is resolved.
