Gold and Silver Prices Rise in Futures Market on Strong Buying Interest

Gold and silver futures moved higher on Tuesday as fresh buying by traders, firm domestic demand, and positive global market trends pushed precious metal prices upward on the MCX.

Gold and silver prices traded higher in the futures market on Tuesday as investors increased buying activity amid encouraging domestic demand and supportive international market trends. The upward movement reflected renewed confidence among traders in the precious metals segment.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts scheduled for August delivery recorded a noticeable gain. The contract climbed by Rs 1,303 to reach Rs 1,41,612 per 10 grams, while trading activity remained healthy with more than a thousand lots changing hands during the session.

Market experts said the rise was largely driven by fresh buying from traders who created new positions after strong demand in the physical market. Positive sentiment from overseas markets also added momentum to the rally in gold prices.

Silver followed a similar trend, attracting strong investor interest throughout the trading session. The July futures contract on the MCX advanced by Rs 2,946 to settle at Rs 2,20,664 per kilogram. Trading volumes also remained robust, reflecting increased participation by market players.

Analysts noted that improving global sentiment and continued buying in domestic markets helped both precious metals maintain their upward trajectory. Investors remained active as expectations of steady demand continued to support prices.

International markets also reflected a positive trend. Gold futures strengthened in New York, while silver futures on the Comex exchange also posted gains, providing additional support to the domestic market.

Market observers believe the movement in gold and silver prices will continue to depend on global economic developments, investor sentiment, and demand in the physical market over the coming trading sessions.
