Indian Stock Market Opens Higher as Oil Prices Ease on Diplomatic Hopes
Indian equity markets traded in positive territory after crude oil prices declined following renewed diplomatic efforts in the Middle East boosting investor confidence and improving overall market sentiment.

Indian benchmark indices began the trading session on a strong note as improving global sentiment lifted investor confidence. A sharp decline in international crude oil prices encouraged buying across several sectors, helping domestic equities open in positive territory.
The optimism followed announcements of renewed diplomatic engagement aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East. Expectations that negotiations could help prevent further escalation eased concerns over global energy supplies, leading to a noticeable fall in crude oil prices and offering relief to financial markets.
During early trading, the Sensex advanced by more than five hundred points while the Nifty also recorded solid gains. Market participants responded positively to the softer oil prices, viewing them as supportive for inflation and economic stability in India.
Among the early gainers were ITC, Bajaj Finserv, InterGlobe Aviation, Bajaj Finance and TMPV, which attracted strong buying interest. On the other hand, shares of Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki, Cipla, ONGC and Bharti Airtel traded in the red during the opening session.
The Indian rupee remained under close watch against the US dollar as investors monitored global developments. Meanwhile, Brent crude slipped around five percent to nearly 83.5 dollars per barrel after fresh signals of diplomatic talks with Iran raised hopes of easing geopolitical tensions.
Market experts believe investors will continue tracking international developments, especially negotiations in the Middle East and movements in crude oil prices, as these factors are expected to influence trading sentiment in the coming sessions.
