Telangana Haj Pilgrims to Get Rs 10000 Fuel Charge Refund
The Telangana government will reimburse the additional Rs 10000 fuel surcharge collected from Haj pilgrims, ensuring financial relief for those who completed the 2026 pilgrimage through the Haj Committee.

The Telangana Haj Committee has announced that Haj pilgrims from the state who performed the 2026 pilgrimage will receive a refund of the additional Rs 10000 fuel surcharge collected before their journey. The reimbursement will be provided by the state government after the necessary formalities are completed.
The extra amount was collected following a directive issued by the Haj Committee of India under Circular No. 42. The charge was introduced to offset the rise in aviation fuel prices and other travel related expenses associated with the pilgrimage.
Telangana Haj Committee Chairperson Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani said pilgrims who have not yet deposited the additional amount must first make the payment to the Haj Committee of India in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
The Telangana government has decided to bear this additional financial burden, fulfilling the assurance given by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Eligible pilgrims from the state will receive the refund through the Telangana Haj Committee.
Officials stated that the reimbursement process will begin after verifying the required documents and completing the administrative procedures. The move is expected to provide financial relief to thousands of Haj pilgrims from Telangana.
The Haj Committee urged all concerned pilgrims to follow the official instructions and complete any pending formalities to ensure they receive the reimbursement without delay.
