KCA Lifts Sreesanth Ban: Kerala Cricket Association Revokes Sreesanth Ban After Unconditional Apology
The Kerala Cricket Association has withdrawn the three year ban on former India fast bowler Sreesanth after accepting his unconditional apology while issuing a strict warning for future conduct.

KCA Lifts Sreesanth Ban: Former India fast bowler S Sreesanth has received major relief after the Kerala Cricket Association decided to revoke the three year ban imposed on him. The decision was taken during a Special General Body Meeting after the association accepted his unconditional apology over his earlier remarks against the cricket body.
The ban had been imposed before the previous Kerala Cricket League season after Sreesanth allegedly made public statements through social media and other platforms that, according to the association, damaged its reputation. As a result, he was barred from participating in activities conducted under the Kerala Cricket Association, including the Kerala Cricket League.
Sreesanth had earlier challenged the disciplinary action before a court in Thiruvananthapuram. However, after his petition was dismissed, he formally submitted an apology letter expressing regret for his comments and requested the association to reconsider its decision.
During the meeting, members discussed the apology in detail and unanimously agreed to withdraw the ban, considering his expression of remorse. While granting relief, the association made it clear that the decision should not be viewed as a precedent.
The Kerala Cricket Association also issued a strong warning, stating that any future actions or public comments that damage the organisation’s reputation would invite strict disciplinary measures.
With the ban lifted, Sreesanth is now free to continue as the co owner of the Aries Kollam Sailors franchise in the upcoming third season of the Kerala Cricket League. The decision also brings an end to the prolonged dispute between the former international cricketer and the state cricket association.
