Telangana Bullet Trains: Telangana Set to Benefit from Three High Speed Bullet Train Corridors, Says Kishan Reddy

Telangana Bullet Trains: Union Minister Kishan Reddy said Telangana will receive three major bullet train corridors, boosting connectivity, investments, infrastructure growth and economic development while strengthening links with leading Indian cities.

Telangana Bullet Trains: Telangana is poised to witness a major transformation in transportation infrastructure with the proposed development of three high speed bullet train corridors connecting Hyderabad to Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai. Union Minister Kishan Reddy described the projects as a significant opportunity for the state’s future growth and economic expansion.

Speaking during foundation stone laying and inauguration events for road development works in Maheshwaram and Ibrahimpatnam of Rangareddy district, the minister said Telangana has been selected for three of the seven ambitious bullet train corridors planned across the country. He noted that these projects could substantially strengthen connectivity between Telangana and key economic centers in southern and western India.

According to Kishan Reddy, the proposed bullet train network is expected to involve an investment of nearly Rs 5 lakh crore. He emphasized that the central government remains committed to development initiatives that go beyond political considerations and focus on long term benefits for the people of Telangana.

The minister also announced that additional funds have been allocated to improve rural transportation and road connectivity. He stressed that development should not be limited to urban centers alone and that villages must receive equal attention in infrastructure planning.

The event was attended by State Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who highlighted the rapid growth of Rangareddy district and the need for continuous road expansion to address increasing traffic demands. He stated that the government is investing heavily in road infrastructure across the state to support industrial growth and improve public mobility.

Komatireddy further revealed that land acquisition for the long pending Regional Ring Road project is nearing completion. He added that large scale road development works are being carried out across Telangana through significant investments in state highways and rural road networks.

Experts believe that stronger coordination between the central and state governments in infrastructure development could attract greater investments into Telangana. They also point out that future bullet train connectivity between Hyderabad and neighboring state capitals may significantly reduce travel time while creating new opportunities for trade, business and economic activity.
