According to family members, Keerthana, a resident of Kashibugga, was employed as a software engineer with a company based in Delhi. In recent months, she had reportedly been experiencing severe mental stress linked to work related pressures.
Concerned about her health, her parents brought her back to Warangal around three months ago. They were providing medical support and treatment after noticing signs of depression and emotional distress.
Keerthana was the daughter of Uma Shankar, who earns a livelihood through a business dealing in old newspapers. The family has three daughters, and Keerthana was one of them.
Police and family sources said the incident occurred when no one else was at home. She allegedly ended her life by hanging from a ceiling fan. The sudden death has created an atmosphere of grief in the locality.
Reports indicate that she had been undergoing treatment from a mental health specialist in Hanamkonda for some time. Despite efforts by her family to help her recover, the unfortunate incident has shocked the community and raised concerns about mental health challenges among working professionals.
