Telangana Rain Alert: Weather Department Forecasts Three More Days of Rain Across Telangana
Telangana Rain Alert: Multiple weather systems are expected to influence Telangana over the coming days, bringing widespread rainfall and increasing the likelihood of stronger monsoon activity across the state.

Telangana Rain Alert: Residents across Telangana may need to keep umbrellas handy as weather officials have predicted continued rainfall over the next three days. The forecast comes as multiple atmospheric systems remain active over the region, creating favorable conditions for widespread showers.
Meteorologists said a trough extending from the Bay of Bengal toward Karnataka through Telangana is currently influencing weather patterns. Another system stretching from Uttar Pradesh to Vidarbha is also contributing to unstable atmospheric conditions, increasing the chances of rain across several districts.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in many parts of the state, with some locations likely to experience brief periods of intense showers. Weather experts believe the rainfall activity could become more widespread once the southwest monsoon advances further into Telangana.
Although the monsoon has already entered parts of the state, its expansion remains gradual. Officials indicated that conditions are not yet fully favorable for rapid advancement, but broader monsoon coverage is expected within the next few days.
Recent rainfall has already provided a glimpse of the season ahead. Several districts recorded showers, while parts of Hyderabad witnessed significant rainfall that disrupted normal life. Waterlogging, traffic congestion, and slow movement of vehicles were reported in multiple areas following heavy downpours.
The IT corridor, including locations such as Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, and nearby stretches, experienced long traffic delays as roads became congested during peak evening hours. Emergency personnel and civic authorities worked to clear accumulated water and restore traffic flow.
Apart from Hyderabad, rainfall was reported from districts including Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Nirmal. Low lying areas in some locations experienced temporary flooding, while fallen trees and overflowing drains added to commuter difficulties.
With monsoon conditions expected to strengthen further, weather officials have advised residents to stay updated on forecasts and remain cautious during periods of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
