Komuravelli Station Ready: A major infrastructure project aimed at improving pilgrimage travel in Telangana is set to become operational soon. The newly built Komuravelli Railway Station, located close to the renowned Komuravelli Mallanna Temple, has almost completed construction and is preparing for inauguration.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy announced that the railway station is nearly ready for public use, with about 99 percent of the work already finished. Once opened, the station is expected to provide a convenient travel option for thousands of devotees visiting the popular temple every year.

The Railway Department developed the halt station between Lakudaram and Duddeda to strengthen transport facilities for pilgrims. Construction began in February 2024 and was completed at a rapid pace with an investment of Rs 5.63 crore.

Several modern passenger amenities have been incorporated into the station. These include a 450 metre high level platform, multiple passenger shelters, spacious waiting areas, ticket counters, drinking water facilities and dedicated restrooms for men, women and persons with disabilities. Improved approach roads and a large parking area have also been developed for visitors.

The station has been designed to reflect local culture and traditions. Architectural features and artwork inspired by Lord Mallanna and the natural beauty of the surrounding region have been included to create a distinctive identity for the facility.

Its location near Rajiv Rahadari will further enhance accessibility for travelers. Railway officials believe the project will significantly reduce travel difficulties for devotees while also boosting regional connectivity, religious tourism and local economic activity.

According to Kishan Reddy, the station represents another important step in expanding railway infrastructure in Telangana. The project is expected to provide direct and convenient access to one of the state’s most visited spiritual destinations.
