Peddi Premieres Shatter Records as Ram Charan Film Surpasses OG Benchmark

Ram Charan's Peddi has opened to a sensational response worldwide, setting new premiere collection records and witnessing massive ticket sales across domestic and overseas markets.

Ram Charan’s latest pan India release Peddi has kicked off its theatrical journey with remarkable momentum, delivering strong premiere collections and attracting huge crowds across multiple markets. Trade analysts believe the film has already emerged as one of the biggest opening attractions of the year.

The excitement surrounding the film was evident even before its release. Advance bookings witnessed extraordinary demand across leading ticketing platforms, with the makers claiming that more than one million tickets were sold ahead of the premiere screenings. The strong trend continued after release as audiences flocked to cinemas in large numbers.

One of the biggest achievements came from Karnataka, where Peddi reportedly registered record breaking premiere collections. According to industry estimates, the film earned around Rs 3.2 crore from premiere shows in the state, setting a new benchmark for Telugu cinema. The previous record was held by Pawan Kalyan’s OG, followed by major releases such as Raja Saab and Pushpa 2.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film received an enthusiastic response from fans during special premiere screenings held on Wednesday night ahead of its official release. Packed theatres and celebratory scenes across several locations reflected the anticipation surrounding the project.

Peddi has also joined an exclusive club on online ticketing platforms. The makers stated that bookings on BookMyShow touched nearly 40,000 tickets per hour, a milestone achieved by only a handful of major Telugu films in recent years. This places the movie alongside blockbuster titles that generated exceptional audience interest during their release phase.

The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film’s early success. Distributors in North America announced that premiere collections crossed the 1.5 million dollar mark, signaling a powerful start in international territories. Strong numbers have also been reported from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland and other overseas regions.

Trade circles estimate that the film may have generated more than Rs 40 crore worldwide through premiere screenings alone. While official figures are yet to be fully consolidated, the early trend indicates that Peddi has opened on a highly promising note.

Industry observers believe the film’s performance over the coming weekend will determine how far it can extend its record breaking run. For now, Peddi has firmly established itself as a major box office force and given Ram Charan another significant milestone in his career.
