Heatwave Conditions to Continue Across Telangana for Four More Days

Severe heatwave conditions are expected to continue across Telangana for the next four days as temperatures remain above normal and weather officials issue red alerts in several districts.

People across Telangana are continuing to struggle with intense summer heat as temperatures remain significantly above normal in many districts. The Meteorological Department warned that similar weather conditions are likely to continue for another four days across the state.

Several northern and central Telangana districts are expected to face severe heatwave conditions. Weather officials issued red alerts for Adilabad Jagityal Asifabad Mancherial Nalgonda Peddapalli Sirisilla and Nizamabad districts where temperatures are rising sharply during daytime hours.

On Monday, the highest temperature in the state was recorded at Kotagiri in Nizamabad district where the mercury touched forty five point six degrees Celsius. Officials said maximum temperatures in many regions are currently recording nearly four degrees above seasonal averages.

Health experts advised people to avoid unnecessary outdoor travel during afternoon hours and remain hydrated as prolonged exposure to extreme heat could lead to serious health issues. Elderly people children and outdoor workers are considered more vulnerable during severe heatwave conditions.

Meanwhile, weather authorities also noted active southwest monsoon movement over southern parts of the country. The monsoon has advanced into parts of the southeast Arabian Sea southwest and southeast Bay of Bengal Andaman Sea and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Meteorologists further explained that a trough system has formed extending from western Madhya Pradesh through Maharashtra and northern interior Karnataka toward southern interior Karnataka. In addition, a surface circulation has developed over the south coastal Andhra Pradesh region.

Experts believe these developing weather systems may gradually influence rainfall activity in nearby southern states during the coming days. However, Telangana is expected to continue experiencing strong heat conditions despite changing atmospheric patterns connected to the advancing southwest monsoon.
