Hyderabad Court Directs Media Platforms to Remove Content Against Bandi Sanjay
A city court in Hyderabad ordered social media companies and media channels to delete posts and reports linking Union Minister Bandi Sanjay to the POCSO case registered against his son.

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar received temporary relief from a Hyderabad court after it passed orders against online posts and news reports connected to the POCSO case involving his son.
The Hyderabad City Civil Court asked social media companies, digital platforms and several media organisations to immediately remove content that mentions Bandi Sanjay in connection with the case. The court also said his name should not be used in future reporting related to the matter.
Bandi Sanjay approached the court claiming that certain reports and social media campaigns were harming his public image and political reputation. He argued that he was being unnecessarily targeted even though the case was related to his son.
The petition named major companies including Google, Meta and X along with a few television channels. After hearing the arguments, the court issued interim orders directing all concerned platforms to take down the content without delay.
The court further warned that strict action, including contempt proceedings, could be taken if the instructions are ignored. It also advised media organisations to be careful while reporting sensitive legal matters and avoid linking unrelated individuals without proper grounds.
