Congress Government at Centre Is My Goal Says Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said he will continue in state politics till 2034, work to make Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister, and later shift his focus towards national politics.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made significant remarks about his future political plans and the Congress party’s national ambitions. Speaking at a media conclave, he said his immediate focus remains Telangana politics and strengthening Congress in the state until 2034.

Revanth Reddy stated that his primary political mission is to help bring Congress back to power at the Centre and see Rahul Gandhi become the Prime Minister of India. He expressed confidence that Congress would form the government at the national level in 2034.

The Telangana Chief Minister also revealed that after spending the next decade in state politics, he would step into national politics by giving opportunities to younger leaders in Telangana. He added that after Rahul Gandhi, he expects to hold an important position in national politics.

During the interaction, Revanth Reddy spoke about his close association with the Gandhi family and said he earned their trust within a short span of time. He mentioned leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while discussing his political journey in Congress.

Revanth Reddy also recalled his earlier stint in the N. Chandrababu Naidu led Telugu Desam Party. He said he personally met Chandrababu Naidu before leaving the party and explained his political situation. According to him, maintaining cordial relations despite political differences is rare in politics today.

Talking about future elections, Revanth Reddy said people now expect quick delivery style politics and claimed that the INDIA alliance would project Rahul Gandhi as its Prime Ministerial candidate in the coming Lok Sabha elections. He added that Congress would first officially announce Rahul Gandhi’s candidature and later seek support from alliance partners.

He further said the alliance plans to present a policy document before the country and seek public support on governance and development issues. Revanth Reddy maintained that he would continue serving Telangana people till 2034 and work towards increasing the state’s contribution to the national economy.
