Gangojipet Crime Horror as Husband Attacks Wife With Axe in Sangareddy

A horrifying domestic violence incident in Telangana’s Sangareddy district has left a woman fighting for her life after her husband allegedly attacked her with an axe during a family dispute in Gangojipet village.

The incident took place in Choutkur mandal and surfaced after the victim’s son approached the police with a complaint against his own father. The shocking attack has created fear and outrage among local residents.

According to police officials, frequent quarrels had reportedly been taking place between Kummari Durgayya and his wife Veeramani, aged 45, for quite some time. Tensions inside the family are said to have worsened in recent days.

In a sudden burst of anger, Durgayya allegedly picked up an axe from inside the house and brutally attacked his wife. The assault caused severe injuries to her legs, leaving her bleeding heavily and in critical condition.

Family members and locals immediately shifted the injured woman to Wellness Hospital in Ameerpet, Hyderabad, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Doctors are reportedly monitoring her condition closely as she remains in a serious state.

The couple’s son, who reportedly witnessed the horrifying attack, was left deeply shocked by the incident. Unable to process the violence against his mother, he approached Pulkal Police Station and filed a complaint against his father.

Based on the complaint, police visited the scene, gathered evidence, and registered an attempt to murder case against the accused. Investigators stated that a detailed inquiry is underway to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the attack.

The brutal assault has once again drawn attention to the growing number of violent domestic disputes being reported from different parts of the state. Local residents expressed concern over the incident and demanded strict action against the accused.
