This surge has helped TVS secure the number one position, overtaking competitors in a segment that is witnessing rapid expansion due to rising fuel prices and increasing consumer interest in electric mobility.
Bajaj and Ather Maintain Strong Momentum
Close behind in the rankings is Bajaj Auto, which secured the second spot with sales of 32883 electric scooters. The company also reported a strong annual growth of 72 percent, indicating steady demand for its electric offerings.
Meanwhile, Ather Energy claimed the third position, doubling its sales compared to the previous year. With 27024 units sold, Ather continues to strengthen its presence in the premium electric scooter space.
Mid Tier Players Show Rapid Growth
The fourth position was taken by Vida, which posted one of the highest growth rates in the segment. The company recorded sales of 15230 units, showing a remarkable 148 percent increase.
In contrast, Ola Electric, which has often led the segment, slipped to the fifth position. The company experienced a notable decline of 39 percent in sales, dropping to 12166 units during the month.
Emerging Brands Make Their Presence Felt
Beyond the top five, several smaller and emerging companies demonstrated strong growth. Greaves Electric Mobility secured the sixth spot with 6884 units sold.
River Mobility stood out with a sharp rise in demand, registering a growth of over 300 percent and selling 3198 scooters. BGauss Auto followed closely with 3065 units, also recording significant growth.
Lower Ranked Brands Continue to Expand
The ninth position was held by Simple Energy, which sold 1188 units during the month. At the tenth spot, Bounce Electric showed remarkable improvement. Although it sold 1077 units, its growth was among the highest compared to the previous year when sales were minimal.
Electric Mobility Gains Momentum
The latest sales figures highlight a broader trend of rising adoption of electric scooters across India. With multiple companies expanding their offerings and improving technology, the competition is becoming more intense.
As consumer preferences shift toward cost effective and eco friendly transportation, the electric scooter market is expected to witness even stronger growth in the coming months.
