Pakistan Cargo Plane: Cargo Plane Goes Missing Near Pakistan Coast During Flight From UAE

Pakistan Cargo Plane: A cargo aircraft travelling from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Karachi reportedly went missing after developing a technical problem during its journey. Pakistani aviation authorities have launched an extensive search operation to trace the aircraft and its crew.

According to the Pakistan Airports Authority, the Boeing 737 cargo plane experienced a technical issue before it began descending rapidly. Flight tracking data reportedly showed the aircraft losing altitude moments before communication with air traffic control was completely lost.

Officials said the aircraft disappeared while flying over the Arabian Sea near Ormara in Balochistan. Rescue teams were immediately deployed, and the Rescue Coordination Centre was activated to coordinate the search efforts in the area.

The missing aircraft belongs to Pakistan based private cargo carrier K2 Airways. Authorities confirmed that five crew members were on board at the time of the incident.

Preliminary information indicates that the aircraft was originally manufactured as a passenger plane in 1999 before being converted into a cargo aircraft in 2012. Aviation officials are continuing search and rescue operations while investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance.
