Revolt Launches RVX Electric Motorcycle in India With 160 Kilometre Claimed Range

Revolt Motors has officially introduced the new RVX electric motorcycle in the Indian market, expanding its growing portfolio of electric two wheelers. Positioned between the RV400 and the RV BlazeX, the latest model aims to offer a balanced combination of performance, practicality and modern technology at an attractive price.

The Revolt RVX has been launched at an introductory ex showroom price of Rs 1.30 lakh. Buyers who qualify for applicable government incentives can purchase the motorcycle at an effective ex showroom price of Rs 1.24 lakh, making it a competitive option in the premium electric commuter segment.

Powering the RVX is a 3.24 kWh removable battery pack paired with a mid drive permanent magnet synchronous motor. The motor delivers a rated output of 4 kW and can produce a peak power of 5.3 kW when required. Revolt claims the motorcycle can deliver an IDC certified riding range of up to 160 kilometres on a single charge, making it suitable for daily commuting as well as longer city rides.

Charging is another key highlight of the new motorcycle. With a compatible fast charger, the battery can reportedly be charged from zero to 80 percent in around 80 minutes. The removable battery design also offers added convenience for users who may prefer charging the battery separately from the motorcycle.

The RVX comes equipped with multiple riding modes to suit different road conditions and riding preferences. Riders can choose between Eco, Normal and Sport modes, while an additional Boost mode temporarily unlocks maximum performance for quicker acceleration during overtaking or demanding riding situations.

Revolt has also equipped the motorcycle with several premium hardware components. The front suspension uses upside down forks, while the rear gets a monoshock setup designed to improve ride comfort and stability. Disc brakes are provided on both the front and rear wheels to enhance braking performance and rider confidence.

Technology plays a major role in the new model. The RVX features a 3.5 inch display with Bluetooth connectivity, telematics support and over the air software updates. Riders also get practical features including call and message notifications, hill hold assist, reverse mode and a vehicle locator function that can help find the motorcycle when parked.

The new motorcycle joins Revolt’s expanding electric portfolio, which already includes the RV BlazeX introduced last year. That model features a single seat design, grab rail, six inch LCD display, three riding modes, reverse mode and GPS based app connectivity. It is powered by the same 3.24 kWh battery paired with a 4.1 kW electric motor and offers a claimed riding range of around 150 kilometres on a single charge.

With the RVX, Revolt appears to be targeting customers looking for a feature rich electric motorcycle that delivers improved range, connected technology and everyday practicality without moving into the company’s highest priced offerings. The latest launch further strengthens competition in India’s rapidly growing electric motorcycle market.
