OPPO has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the new Reno 16 and Reno 16c. The latest devices arrive with several premium features, including large batteries, AMOLED displays, high resolution cameras and strong water resistance. The first sale for both smartphones is scheduled to begin on July 9 through leading online platforms and the official OPPO store.

One of the biggest highlights of the new lineup is battery capacity. The OPPO Reno 16 packs a 6700mAh battery, while the Reno 16c comes with an even larger 7000mAh battery. Both smartphones support 80W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly and spend more time using their devices.

The Reno 16 starts at a price of Rs 61999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM and 256GB model is priced at Rs 67999. Meanwhile, the Reno 16c is available from Rs 46999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB version. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model costs Rs 49999, while the top end 12GB RAM and 256GB variant is priced at Rs 55999. Buyers can also avail instant cashback offers of up to 10 percent on selected bank credit cards.

Both smartphones will be available in Starry White, Stellar Purple and Twilight Violet colour options. Customers will be able to purchase them through Amazon, Flipkart and the OPPO India online store from July 9.

The two devices run Android 16 based ColorOS 16 and offer dual SIM support. The Reno 16 features a 6.32 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1216 by 2640 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness reaching 3500 nits. The Reno 16c offers a larger 6.57 inch AMOLED display with Full HD Plus resolution, the same 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1400 nits.

Performance also differs between the two models. The Reno 16 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The Reno 16c uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with LPDDR4X RAM while offering the same storage capacity options. Both smartphones include an in display fingerprint scanner and face unlock for security.

Photography is another major focus of the Reno 16 series. The Reno 16 features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization. It is accompanied by a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50 megapixel telephoto lens with an 80mm equivalent focal length. The Reno 16c retains the same 50 megapixel main camera but replaces the ultrawide sensor with an 8 megapixel unit. Both devices include a 50 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

Durability is another standout feature. OPPO says both smartphones come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water, making them suitable for use in demanding environments.

For connectivity, both models support 5G, 4G LTE, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS. The Reno 16 weighs 193 grams, while the Reno 16c is slightly heavier at 197 grams.

With a combination of long lasting batteries, fast charging, capable cameras and durable design, the Reno 16 series aims to offer premium features to users looking for a high performance smartphone in the mid to upper premium segment.
