Jio Leads Hyderabad Download Speed Rankings in Latest TRAI Drive Test Report
Reliance Jio delivered outstanding network performance across Hyderabad during the latest TRAI independent drive test recording faster download speeds reliable voice services and consistent coverage across major city locations.
Jio Tops Hyderabad Network Performance Report
Reliance Jio has emerged as the top performing telecom network in Hyderabad, according to the latest Independent Drive Test conducted by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India for May 2026. The assessment covered nearly 157.9 kilometers across important locations including Madhapur, Ameerpet, Mehdipatnam and Shamshabad, where the company demonstrated impressive data and voice service quality.
Download Speeds Far Above Declared Levels
The report found that Jio achieved an average download speed of 222.12 Mbps on its combined 4G and 5G networks. This is more than fourteen times higher than the company’s declared standard download speed of 15.00 Mbps. Upload performance was also significantly better than expected, with an average speed of 19.43 Mbps compared to the declared benchmark of 7.00 Mbps.
Strong Coverage Across the City
During the testing process, TRAI collected 22063 network samples using automatic network selection. Only 319 samples showed weak signal strength, while there were no instances of complete network coverage loss. These findings indicate stable connectivity across residential neighborhoods, commercial hubs and transportation corridors throughout Hyderabad.
Excellent Voice Call Quality
Jio also performed exceptionally well in voice service quality. All 202 voice calls placed during the test were completed successfully without a single dropped call. In addition, none of the 191 monitored calls experienced more than three seconds of silence, highlighting the network’s consistent call performance.

The purpose of the Independent Drive Test is to verify whether telecom operators meet the service standards they publicly claim under real world conditions. The latest findings show that Jio not only met its declared benchmarks but exceeded them across several key performance indicators. As mobile data usage continues to grow rapidly across India, the report further strengthens Jio’s position as one of the country’s leading telecom service providers.
