22A Lands Get Clarity: CM Revanth Reddy Gives Clarity on 22A Lands

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy assured private landowners that genuine properties under the 22A list will not face registration hurdles and warned people against rumours and middlemen.

22A Lands Get Clarity: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has assured landowners that genuine private properties included in the 22A list will not be denied registration. He said the government is taking steps to protect property rights and resolve genuine cases without unnecessary delays.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting with Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and senior officials to discuss the 22A land issue. During the meeting, he directed officials to examine the properties carefully and prepare an accurate list.

According to the Chief Minister, people who have already booked an online registration slot need not panic even if their property appears in the 22A list. Revenue officials will examine such applications within two days. If the property is confirmed as private land, the registration should be completed immediately.

The government is also looking at a longer term solution to the issue. District Collectors have been asked to conduct a detailed review of lands included under Section 22A and ensure that the records are accurate. Officials have been instructed to complete the exercise without unnecessary delay.

Revanth Reddy said genuine private landowners would not be made to suffer because of errors or confusion in the records. He also stressed that protecting people’s property rights remains a priority for the state government.

The Chief Minister appealed to landowners not to depend on brokers or middlemen to resolve their property matters. He warned that rumours and fabricated stories surrounding 22A lands could create unnecessary fear among the public.

The government wants the verification process to clearly separate private properties from lands that are legitimately restricted under the 22A provisions. Officials have therefore been asked to check the records thoroughly before taking a final decision.

For landowners, the key message from the government is that the presence of a property in the 22A list does not automatically mean that a genuine private property cannot be registered. The authorities will first examine the nature and records of the land.

Revanth Reddy further assured people that the government would not allow even an inch of genuine private land to face problems because of the ongoing review. He urged citizens to rely on official information rather than rumours while the verification process continues.
