Google Fitbit Air Coming to India in October With a Screen Free Fitness Experience

Google has confirmed that Fitbit Air will arrive in India this October, bringing its first screen free fitness tracker with health tracking features and interchangeable bands.

Google is bringing a new kind of Fitbit device to India. The company has confirmed that the Fitbit Air, its first screen free fitness tracker, will launch in the country in October 2026.

The announcement was made during the latest Made by Google event briefing, although Google has kept some important details under wraps. The exact launch date, Indian pricing, available colours and sales channels are yet to be announced.

The Fitbit Air has already appeared on Amazon India, giving an early indication of what the device could cost locally. One listing shows a price of Rs. 17,630, while the version with the Performance Loop band has been listed at Rs. 17,380. A pink variant has also appeared through third party sellers for Rs. 18,490.

These online listings may not represent Google’s final retail pricing, so buyers will likely need to wait for the official announcement before drawing conclusions about the cost.

Google introduced the Fitbit Air in selected international markets in May with a starting price of $99.99. The company also includes a three month trial of its Google Health Premium subscription, which provides access to additional health features and Google Health Coach tools.

Unlike conventional fitness trackers, the Fitbit Air does not have a display. Instead, it is designed to focus on health and activity tracking without keeping a screen constantly in front of the user.

Google offers the device with three interchangeable band options, including the Performance Loop Band, Active Band and Elevated Modern Band. Different colours are available depending on the band selected.

The company recently expanded its hardware lineup in India with the Pixel 11 series, Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 5. It also introduced the Pixel Tag, entering the Bluetooth tracker market with a product aimed at competing with devices such as Apple’s AirTag.

For Indian buyers interested in a simpler fitness tracker without a screen, the Fitbit Air could offer a different approach. More information about its price and availability is expected to arrive closer to the October launch.
