Anantapur Road Accident as Travel Bus and Eicher Vehicle Fall From Bridge
A major road accident near Pogururu in Anantapur district left several passengers injured after a travel bus and Eicher vehicle plunged from a bridge following collision.
A serious road accident occurred near Pogururu in Pamidi mandal of Anantapur district early Sunday morning. The incident took place on a national highway when a private travel bus collided with an Eicher vehicle while crossing the Pogururu bridge.
The impact caused both vehicles to fall from the bridge, turning the accident into a major rescue operation. Around 20 people travelling on the bus reportedly suffered serious injuries in the incident.
Local residents and police quickly reached the spot after receiving information about the crash. Rescue teams helped bring the injured passengers out of the vehicles and shifted them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The accident also caused significant disruption on the highway. Traffic movement was affected and a long queue of vehicles reportedly formed near the accident site as rescue operations continued.
