Meta AI Expands With Smart Agent Features for Research Reports and Presentations

Meta AI is introducing advanced agent features that can handle complex tasks create research summaries prepare presentations deliver scheduled updates and soon extend these capabilities to WhatsApp users worldwide.

Meta has unveiled a major upgrade for its AI assistant by introducing new agent based capabilities that go far beyond answering simple questions. The latest update allows Meta AI to complete complex tasks on behalf of users, making it a more capable digital assistant for work, study and everyday productivity. The rollout has already started in select countries, with WhatsApp support expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

The new features are powered by Meta’s Muse Spark 1.1 model and are designed to perform multi step tasks with minimal user input. Instead of repeatedly giving instructions, users can assign a complete task to the AI, which will carry it through multiple stages before delivering the final result. This marks a significant step toward making AI assistants more independent and practical.

One of the biggest additions is the ability to conduct research and generate well organized summaries. Meta AI can collect information from websites, research papers, creators and communities across Meta platforms before compiling everything into a concise report. This makes it easier for users to gather information on a topic without spending hours searching across multiple sources.

The assistant is also gaining powerful presentation building tools. Users will be able to transform research findings directly into presentation slides while making changes in real time. Whether adjusting the tone, structure or focus of a presentation, the AI can instantly apply edits based on new instructions during the creation process.

Another major feature is scheduled updates and personalized briefings. Meta AI can provide daily summaries based on a user’s calendar, alert them about schedule conflicts and send reminders at specific times. Users can also create recurring updates for topics such as weekly meal plans, product launches, market trends or any subject they want to follow regularly.

Meta says that every project created by the AI, including reports, presentations, mood boards and training plans, will be stored in one place for easy access. This allows users to revisit previous work, continue editing or share completed files whenever required without starting from scratch.

Alongside these productivity improvements, Meta AI will continue offering its existing conversational features. Users can still ask general questions, receive shopping recommendations and use private conversations through Incognito Mode. The company believes the combination of traditional AI chat features and advanced task automation will make the assistant more useful across a wider range of everyday activities.

For now, the upgraded agent features are available through the Meta AI app and the Meta AI website in selected markets. Meta has confirmed that the same capabilities will gradually expand to WhatsApp over the coming weeks, giving millions of users access to a smarter AI assistant directly within the messaging platform.
