OnePlus is gearing up to strengthen its presence in the affordable smartphone segment with the upcoming launch of the OnePlus N6x in India. Although the company has not officially revealed the launch date, recent leaks and promotional material suggest that the device could arrive in the market in the near future. The new handset is expected to join the N6 series and offer an attractive combination of style, performance and value.

The upcoming OnePlus N6x is likely to be positioned below the company’s Nord lineup, making it a more accessible option for users looking for a budget friendly smartphone. By expanding the N6 family, OnePlus appears to be targeting customers who want modern features without moving into the premium price range.

A dedicated microsite for the OnePlus N6x has already appeared on Amazon, indicating that the smartphone is preparing for its official debut. Marketing images shared through the listing reveal that the handset will be available in Blue and Red color options, giving buyers more choice in terms of design and appearance.

The smartphone is expected to feature a clean and minimal look with a flat rear panel and the OnePlus logo placed at the center. A pill shaped camera module is positioned in the upper left corner alongside an LED flash, while the power button and volume controls are located on the right side. Overall, the design closely resembles the recently launched OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, suggesting that OnePlus is continuing its modern design language across different product categories.

While detailed specifications of the OnePlus N6x have not yet been confirmed, industry reports indicate that it will follow the same affordable approach as the recently launched OnePlus N6. The company is expected to focus on delivering a balanced smartphone experience with dependable performance, a large battery and a refined software interface.

The OnePlus N6, which entered the Indian market last month, offers an idea of what buyers can expect from the new series. It is available with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage at Rs 22999, while the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 24999. The smartphone comes in Fresh Mint and Midnight Black color options.

The OnePlus N6 features a 6.75 inch HD Plus LCD display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1200 nits. Running on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, the device delivers an updated software experience designed for smoother navigation and improved everyday usability.

Under the hood, the OnePlus N6 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset paired with the ARM Mali G57 MC2 GPU. This hardware is designed to handle daily tasks, multitasking and casual gaming efficiently while maintaining stable performance.

For photography, the OnePlus N6 includes a 50 megapixel rear camera with support for up to 10x digital zoom. On the front, the smartphone offers an 8 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The camera setup is aimed at users who want reliable imaging performance for everyday use.

Battery life is one of the standout features of the OnePlus N6. The smartphone packs a massive 8000 mAh battery with support for 45 W fast charging and 5 W reverse wired charging. OnePlus claims that a full charge can deliver up to three days of usage under typical conditions, making it an attractive option for heavy smartphone users.

To ensure sustained performance during extended usage, the OnePlus N6 is equipped with a large 5300 square millimetre vapor chamber cooling system. This thermal management solution helps control device temperature while gaming, streaming and multitasking.

With the OnePlus N6x expected to build on these strengths while introducing a refreshed design and new color choices, the smartphone could become another strong contender in India’s competitive affordable smartphone market once it officially launches.
