Redmi Note 17 India Launch Timeline and Key Specifications Leak Online
The upcoming Redmi smartphone is expected to bring a large battery, OLED display and advanced camera features, with reports suggesting an August launch in India.
Redmi is reportedly preparing to introduce the Note 17 series in the Indian market after launching the smartphones in China recently. Although the company has not officially confirmed the India launch details, a new leak has revealed the expected launch timeline and possible specifications of the upcoming Redmi Note 17.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav’s post on X, the Redmi Note 17 could launch in India on August 6, while the first sale may begin from August 11. However, Redmi has not yet shared any official announcement regarding the launch date or availability.
The leaked details suggest that the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 17 could feature a massive 8,000mAh battery. The phone is also expected to come with an OLED display, although details about the screen size and refresh rate are currently unclear.
For photography, the smartphone may include a 50 megapixel Light Fusion 400 primary rear camera. The front camera is expected to feature an 8 megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
The China variant of the Redmi Note 17 comes with a 6.67 inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 2396 by 1080 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, providing a smooth viewing experience with strong outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset. The Chinese model offers up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, making it suitable for heavy multitasking and performance focused users.
The camera system on the China model includes a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 600 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization support, along with a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The phone runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
Battery life is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the Redmi Note 17. The smartphone comes with an 8,000mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging, offering longer usage time for users who prefer a powerful battery focused device.
