Poco M8 Power Could Launch Soon in India With Massive 8000mAh Battery
Poco M8 Power is expected to debut in India with a large battery Snapdragon chipset AMOLED display and fast charging while reportedly arriving as a rebranded Redmi Note 17 model.

Poco is reportedly preparing to introduce a new smartphone for the Indian market, and early leaks suggest the upcoming Poco M8 Power could focus heavily on battery life. The device is expected to feature an 8000mAh battery, making it one of the largest battery smartphones in its segment if the leaked specifications prove accurate.
According to information shared by tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the Poco M8 Power is likely to be a rebranded version of the recently introduced Redmi Note 17. The leaked details indicate that the smartphone carries the model number 2602IPC8I and has already appeared on the BIS certification platform, hinting that its official launch in India may not be far away.
Reports suggest Poco M8 Power is being developed exclusively for the Indian market. Meanwhile, Redmi is also expected to launch the Redmi Note 17 series in both India and global markets. Although the two devices may share similar hardware, the Indian versions are expected to receive significantly larger batteries than their global counterparts.
If the reports are accurate, the Indian Poco M8 Power will pack an 8000mAh battery, while the global Redmi Note 17 could arrive with a smaller 7700mAh unit. A similar strategy is also expected for the Redmi Note 17 Pro, where the Indian version may feature a 9000mAh battery, compared to an expected 8340mAh battery in the global model.
The leaked specifications also point to a premium display despite the phone targeting the midrange segment. Poco M8 Power is expected to feature a large 7 inch AMOLED display with Full HD Plus resolution and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits. The handset could use a Samsung display panel to deliver improved color accuracy and outdoor visibility.
Powering the smartphone is expected to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor. The chipset is likely to offer balanced performance for everyday tasks, gaming, and efficient battery management. While the company has not confirmed any hardware details, the processor is expected to make the phone competitive in the affordable 5G category.
For photography, the Poco M8 Power is rumored to include a 50 megapixel primary rear camera. Although additional camera specifications have not yet surfaced, the main sensor is expected to handle everyday photography and video recording with improved image quality.
Battery charging capabilities also appear promising. The smartphone is tipped to support 45W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge the massive battery more quickly. It may also include 22.5W wired reverse charging, enabling the phone to charge compatible accessories or even other smartphones when needed.
Neither Poco nor Redmi has officially announced the launch date or confirmed these specifications. However, with BIS certification already in place and multiple leaks emerging, expectations are growing that the Poco M8 Power could make its India debut in the coming weeks. Until then, all specifications and features should be treated as unofficial.
