Samsung Galaxy M47 5G Returns to Launch Price After Major Price Cut in India
Samsung has restored the Galaxy M47 5G to its original launch price after an earlier hike, giving buyers savings of up to Rs 8000 with premium features included.

Samsung has rolled back the price of its Galaxy M47 5G in India, bringing welcome relief to customers who had delayed their purchase after a sharp increase. The smartphone, which had become significantly more expensive just days after its launch, is now once again available at its original introductory price across all storage variants.
The Galaxy M47 5G was introduced in India on June 29, with sales beginning on July 4. Soon after the launch offers ended, the company raised the prices by as much as Rs 8000, leading to widespread discussion among smartphone buyers. The latest revision reverses that increase, making the device more attractive for those looking for a feature packed 5G smartphone in the mid premium segment.
Samsung is now offering the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant for Rs 25999. The 8GB RAM and 128GB version is priced at Rs 28999, while the top model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is available for Rs 33999. These prices match the phone’s original launch pricing, allowing buyers to save between Rs 7000 and Rs 8000 compared to the revised rates introduced earlier.
Before the latest correction, the entry level model had climbed to Rs 32999. The 8GB and 128GB version was selling for Rs 36999, while the highest storage option had reached Rs 41999. The return to the original pricing is expected to improve the phone’s appeal among buyers who were waiting for better value.
The Galaxy M47 5G features a 6.7 inch Full HD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and an enhanced viewing experience. The screen is protected with Gorilla Glass, adding extra durability for everyday use. Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which is designed to handle multitasking, gaming, and daily applications with ease.
Photography is another major highlight of the smartphone. It comes with a 50MP primary camera supported by a 5MP ultra wide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera includes optical image stabilization for sharper photos and steadier videos. On the front, users get a 12MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery life is expected to be one of the phone’s strongest features. Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M47 5G with a large 6000mAh battery, allowing users to stay connected for extended periods without frequent charging. This makes it suitable for gaming, streaming, and heavy everyday use.
The smartphone also introduces several AI powered tools aimed at improving the overall user experience. AI Select helps users instantly identify content displayed on the screen and perform related tasks. Object Eraser allows unwanted people or objects to be removed from photos, while Circle to Search with Google enables quick searches by simply circling text, images, or objects on the display.
Running on Android 16 with Samsung One UI 8, the Galaxy M47 5G is backed by an extended software support policy. Samsung has promised six years of Android operating system updates along with six years of security updates. This long term commitment ensures that users will continue receiving new features, performance improvements, and security enhancements well into the future.
With the return to its launch price and a combination of premium display technology, capable cameras, AI features, and long software support, the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G has once again become a strong option for buyers looking for a reliable and future ready 5G smartphone.
