Musi Project Approved: The Telangana Cabinet approved the first phase of the Musi River Development Project, sanctioned hospital posts, expanded school meal benefits, and cleared several key infrastructure and welfare initiatives.

Musi Project Approved: The Telangana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, approved a series of significant policy decisions during its latest meeting, covering infrastructure, healthcare, education, and public welfare across the state.
Among the major announcements, the Cabinet gave the green light to the first phase of the Musi River Development Project. The initial phase will be undertaken with an estimated investment of Rs 7,345 crore as part of the state’s broader plan to improve and redevelop the Musi riverfront.
The Cabinet also approved the creation of 6,278 posts for TIMS hospitals and the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital to strengthen healthcare services. In addition, it cleared the allocation of land for the construction of warehouses, educational institutions, and other public facilities.
In the education sector, the government decided to expand the breakfast and midday meal scheme. Along with students, nearly 1.5 lakh teachers, lecturers, and staff members in government schools and junior colleges across Telangana will also receive meals under the program.
The Cabinet further decided to continue the implementation of the VB Jiramji Scheme and resolved to approach the Supreme Court regarding objections related to the initiative.
