Balka Suman Gets Conditional Bail: Telangana High Court Grants Conditional Bail to Former BRS MLA Balka Suman
The Telangana High Court granted conditional bail to former BRS MLA Balka Suman while imposing strict restrictions including regular police attendance and a complete ban on public comments.

Balka Suman Gets Conditional Bail: Former BRS MLA Balka Suman received relief from the Telangana High Court after it granted him conditional bail in a case related to his alleged remarks on Singareni properties. He had remained in judicial custody since May 30 following the registration of the case.
The High Court directed Balka Suman to execute a personal bond of Rs 25000 along with two sureties for the same amount. The court also instructed him to appear at the concerned police station every Monday at 11 am for eight weeks or until the filing of the charge sheet, whichever comes first.
As part of the bail conditions, the court barred him from influencing witnesses or tampering with evidence during the investigation. It also prohibited him from making comments or sharing any content related to the case through the media or social media platforms.
The bail petition was heard by Justice K Sujana after Balka Suman challenged the case registered on the basis of a complaint filed by a junior inspector at Singareni Bhavan on May 26.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s counsel argued that the case was politically motivated and claimed that his client’s speech had been misrepresented. The lawyer also submitted that no incidents of violence, arson, or damage to public or private property had taken place after the speech and assured the court that Balka Suman would fully cooperate with the investigation.
Opposing the plea, the Public Prosecutor argued that granting bail could create the possibility of influencing witnesses. After considering the submissions from both sides, the High Court observed that investigators had already recorded the statements of 14 witnesses and that the major part of the investigation had been completed. Taking these factors into account, the court decided to grant conditional bail.
