Student Missing in Finland: A Hyderabad student studying in Finland has remained missing for over forty five days prompting growing concern among family members who are seeking immediate intervention.

Student Missing in Finland: A Hyderabad based family is anxiously awaiting answers after their son, who is pursuing higher education in Finland, remained untraceable for more than forty five days. With no confirmed information about his whereabouts, the family has appealed to authorities for immediate assistance.
Manideep Reddy, a resident of Vaidehi Nagar in Vanasthalipuram, moved to Finland to pursue his studies and was enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor of Technology program at LUT University in Lahti. According to his family, he was in regular contact before communication suddenly stopped.
The student reportedly last spoke with his parents on May 4. When repeated attempts to contact him failed from the following day onward, family members grew increasingly worried. Friends and acquaintances in Finland were asked to visit his residence and university campus, but no useful information could be found.
As concern mounted, a missing person case was registered in Finland and local authorities began inquiries. However, despite the passage of several weeks, there has been no breakthrough in locating the student. The prolonged uncertainty has left his parents deeply distressed.

Seeking further action, the family approached the Telangana High Court, alleging that sufficient steps had not been taken despite their complaints. The petition urged authorities to intensify efforts to trace the missing student and provide updates on the investigation.
During the hearing, the High Court directed the Central Government to submit details regarding the measures taken in response to the disappearance. Notices were also issued to the Indian Embassy in Finland, the Central Government, and Telangana Police seeking information about the progress of the case.
The petition filed by the student’s parents stated that Manideep last spoke to his mother before all communication ceased. The family informed the court that every attempt to reach him afterward had been unsuccessful.
Representatives appearing for the authorities stated that a case had already been registered and that the investigation was ongoing. After hearing submissions from both sides, the court sought additional details on the probe and adjourned the matter for further hearing later this month.
Meanwhile, Manideep’s parents continue to appeal to both Indian and Finnish authorities, expressing hope that coordinated efforts will help locate their son and bring him home safely.
