Nandyal Fruits: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu praised Nandyal's horticulture sector after farmers showcased diverse fruit crops, highlighting the district's farming potential and the need for stronger support to growers.

Nandyal Fruits: The rich horticultural landscape of Nandyal district came into focus during Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Banaganapalle, where local farmers displayed an impressive collection of fruits and other horticultural produce. The exhibition drew widespread attention and highlighted the region’s agricultural strength.

Among the products showcased were dates, pomegranates, drumsticks and several other crops cultivated across the district. The Chief Minister spent nearly thirty minutes interacting with farmers and horticulture officials, seeking details about cultivation methods, investment requirements and production patterns.

Impressed by the diversity of crops, Naidu said the display reflected the immense potential of Nandyal as a horticulture hub. He appreciated the dedication of local farmers and noted that the district has significant opportunities to expand high value farming.

Farmers used the occasion to explain the challenges they face while cultivating horticultural crops. They said fruit farming requires considerable effort and investment but can generate better returns if growers receive adequate government support, improved infrastructure and reliable market access.

Officials from the horticulture department also briefed the Chief Minister on crop yields, market demand and future growth prospects. Visitors at the event expressed surprise at the wide variety of fruits being produced in the district, with many describing the exhibition as an eye opening experience.

The interaction reinforced the importance of promoting horticulture as a key contributor to rural incomes. Farmers expressed confidence that continued policy support and modern farming practices would help Nandyal strengthen its position as one of Andhra Pradesh’s leading horticulture regions.
