Former YSRCP MLA Arrested in Hyderabad Government Land Grab Case

Police arrested a former YSRCP legislator in connection with an alleged government land grab conspiracy involving forged documents, financial transactions, and attempts to claim valuable public property.

A major breakthrough has been reported in the high profile government land grab investigation in Hyderabad, with police arresting former YSRCP MLA Bolla Brahmanaidu after an extensive search operation across multiple states.

The arrest was made in Tamil Nadu’s Kanchipuram, where special police teams tracked down the former legislator after he had allegedly remained out of reach for several days. Investigators believe he played a key role in a conspiracy aimed at illegally claiming valuable government land located on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

According to the investigation, the case revolves around nearly nine acres of government land in Gandipet. Authorities allege that forged government documents were created and circulated to establish false ownership claims over the property. The land is considered highly valuable due to its location and market potential.

The probe began after local revenue officials filed a complaint regarding suspicious activities connected to the land. During the investigation, police reportedly uncovered evidence suggesting that fake government orders were prepared and widely circulated through digital platforms and social media channels.

Officials also examined financial transactions linked to the case. Investigators claimed that a transfer of approximately Rs 1.25 crore from an account connected to the accused has emerged as an important lead. Police are analyzing banking records and other documents to establish the flow of funds connected to the alleged operation.

The case has already led to multiple arrests, and authorities have registered charges against several individuals accused of participating in the conspiracy. Investigators believe the network involved coordinated efforts to secure ownership claims and facilitate potential land transactions.

Earlier, police conducted searches at locations associated with the former MLA in Andhra Pradesh. However, he was not found during those operations. Investigators later traced movements of the accused and other suspects across different states, including Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

Following his arrest, police are expected to intensify questioning and examine additional evidence related to the alleged land fraud. Officials say the investigation remains active, and further arrests or developments cannot be ruled out as the case progresses.
