A young Indian man from Punjab was killed in a knife attack in West London while police continue investigations and appeal for witnesses and CCTV evidence.
Indian Youth Killed in London Stabbing: A tragic stabbing incident in West London has claimed the life of a young man of Indian origin, leaving family members and the local Indian community in shock. The victim, identified as 26 year old Gurbhej Singh from Punjab, died after being attacked in the Southall area.
According to police, the incident occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday near the junction of North Road and Dormers Wells Lane. Emergency services rushed to the location after receiving reports of a stabbing. When officers and paramedics arrived, they found two injured men at the scene.
Despite extensive efforts by medical teams, Gurbhej Singh could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the location. Another man, aged 30, sustained injuries during the incident and was taken to hospital. He was later discharged after receiving treatment.
Investigators launched an immediate inquiry and detained seven men aged between 20 and 30 on suspicion of involvement in the attack. Following further questioning and examination of evidence, six of them were released without additional action, while one individual was granted bail as investigations continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell from the Metropolitan Police said officers are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the killing. She expressed condolences to the victim’s family and urged anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses CCTV footage from the area to come forward and assist the investigation.
The incident has generated concern among members of the Indian community in London, many of whom have expressed grief over the loss of the young man.
Meanwhile, friends and relatives of Gurbhej Singh have started a fundraising campaign to help cover funeral expenses and the transportation of his body back to India. The campaign has received strong support from donors, reflecting the widespread sympathy and solidarity following the tragedy.
