Vijay Unveils New Tamil Nadu Cabinet With Blend of Youth and Experience
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay introduced a cabinet featuring experienced politicians, young leaders, professionals and strategists as his newly formed government officially assumed office in Chennai.

Tamil Nadu witnessed a major political moment as actor turned politician Vijay officially took oath as Chief Minister, ending weeks of intense speculation surrounding government formation and cabinet selection. Alongside him, nine senior TVK leaders were sworn in as ministers in the new administration.
The newly formed cabinet reflects a combination of political experience, youth leadership and professional expertise. Vijay appears to have focused on building a team capable of supporting governance while also strengthening the party’s long term political structure.
Among the most experienced faces in the cabinet is veteran politician K A Sengottaiyan, who brings nearly five decades of political experience. Having served under leaders like MGR, Jayalalithaa and Edappadi Palaniswami, Sengottaiyan is known for his long administrative background and influence in Tamil Nadu politics.
Young MLA S Keerthana emerged as one of the biggest highlights of the cabinet. The 29 year old leader created history by becoming the first woman in nearly seventy years to win from Sivakasi constituency. Before entering active politics, she worked as a political consultant and campaign strategist for several major parties.
Another key member of the cabinet is Aadhav Arjuna, a senior TVK leader and current president of the Basketball Federation of India. Known for his organisational role within the party, he won from Villivakkam constituency after previously serving in the VCK party.
N Anand, popularly known as Bussy Anand, also secured a cabinet berth due to his close association with Vijay and his major role in expanding TVK’s grassroots network across Tamil Nadu. He won the recent election from T Nagar constituency.
Former IRS officer and doctor K G Arunraj has also joined the ministry. He left government service to work with Vijay and played a major role in policy planning and campaign strategy within the party before winning from Tiruchengode.
R Nirmal Kumar, known for handling TVK’s digital strategy and alliance negotiations, became another important addition to the cabinet. He earlier worked with BJP and AIADMK before joining TVK and later played a key role in social media campaigns and political outreach.
The cabinet also includes actor and comedian A Rajmohan, advocate and party treasurer P Venkataramanan and dentist turned politician Dr KT Prabhu, who defeated NTK founder Seeman in Karaikudi constituency.
Political observers say Vijay’s first cabinet sends a clear message that the new government wants to combine fresh energy with experienced leadership while preparing TVK for a larger role in Tamil Nadu politics.
