Uppal Crossroads Temporarily Closed for Elevated Corridor Works

Traffic movement at Uppal crossroads will face major diversions from Sunday as authorities begin elevated corridor pillar construction works near Uppal Electricity Junction in Hyderabad’s busy eastern corridor.

Commuters traveling through the busy Uppal crossroads will experience major traffic changes from Sunday as officials temporarily shut the junction for elevated corridor pillar construction works. Authorities said the decision was taken to speed up infrastructure development near the Uppal Electricity Junction area.

Traffic police have already started implementing diversion plans for vehicles moving toward the Warangal highway. Officials stated that all vehicles using the Uppal Ring Road route toward Warangal would be redirected through alternative roads until the construction activity is completed.

Heavy vehicles coming from Habsiguda toward Warangal have been advised to travel through Nacharam, Mallapur, IOC, and Chengicherla before reaching the highway. Meanwhile, smaller vehicles can use the road behind Little Flower School from Uppal Indira Gandhi Park to access the Warangal route.

Authorities also confirmed that the Warangal bus stop located beside the GHMC office was already shifted to the Uppal Nallacheruvu bund area to reduce congestion near the construction zone.

Vehicles entering Uppal from the Warangal side will be diverted through the HMDA road opposite Asian Cine Theatre and connected toward the Nagole route. Two wheeler riders have been instructed to travel through the road near Nagole Metro pillars 812 and 813 while heading toward Uppal and Secunderabad.

Heavy vehicles arriving from Warangal toward Hyderabad must use the Outer Ring Road route via Hayathnagar before entering the city. Traffic officials requested commuters to cooperate and plan travel in advance to avoid delays during the temporary closure period.
